Brigg first grew as a crossing point on the River Ancholme, taking
its name from the bridge constructed to make east-west journeys
easier. It has a colourful history of markets and fairs and is today
a thriving market town.
Arties Mill & Lodge is located 1 mile from the
town of Brigg and is a charming old windmill originally built circa
1790. The adjoining grain sheds and mill interior have been converted
into bars, restaurant and function rooms, providing a pleasant and
friendly atmosphere whilst retaining many of the interesting features
of its history. Just a few yards from the mill set in attractive
landscape gardens is the Lodge housing a choice of en-suite bedrooms
There are number of popular attractions within very
easy access of Brigg, which amongst others include Elsham Hall Country
& Wildlife Park, Normandy Hall and historical ruins of Thornton
Abbey, a former Augustine Abbey. For golfing enthusiasts, Brigg
boasts no less than 6 golf courses within 10 to 15 minutes drive.

has 21 comfortable en-suite bedrooms with satellite television,
trouser press, direct dial telephone and tea and coffee making
facilities.
- The mill
has a reputation for good food and offers a choice of carvery
and grill menus. There is an extensive bar menu available in the
lounge bar.
- For a meeting,
wedding, party or private dining there are three rooms to choose
from. The main function room seats up to 115, or 130 buffet style,
and has its own bar and dance floor. The Conservatory caters for
50 seated and 70 buffet style, and the Tower Room is an ideal
venue for private dinners and small meetings for up to 50 guests.

From the M18
join the M180 sign posted Grimsby. At junction 4 take the
exit signposted Scunthorpe East and join the A18 signposted
Brigg. Arties Mill & Lodge is on the corner of the A18
& B1208.
